The February topic of the NLS Smart Speaking to the Smart Speaker program will be Book Management in the My Talking Books Skill. The program will start with a brief discussion, demonstration, and presentation. After the presentation, questions about book management or anything else relating to using the My Talking Books skill on Alexa-enabled smart speakers will be answered. NLS will record this program. Library staff will be on hand to assist with technology needs and facilitate open conversation. Bring your thoughts and experiences as we chat about tools that help people with different needs. Once a month, LAMP Pittsburgh is holding a Tactile and Braille Tech Discussion Group. The participants engage in an open discussion; experience embossed, Swell Form, and 3-D-printed items; and explore their ideas and interests on the topic of tactile accessibility. Those who gather also learn about the tools and software used to produce tactile objects.
